Calle Real and its geranium-lined side streets give Estepona's old town its postcard look — and its small, wrought-iron-framed windows, which we clean by hand where poles don't fit. Down at the marina and along the Paseo Marítimo, apartment glass faces the sea head-on and shows every speck of spray. New-build developments dominate the Estepona market right now, and their glass takes the hardest beating. Handover apartments around Valle Romano and Cancelada come with floor-to-ceiling glazing and glass balustrades that arrive coated in construction dust from the surrounding works — fine grit that scratches if wiped dry.
